On 22nd July, the Minister of Human Resources, YB. Datuk Dr. S. Subramanaiam, officially launched the Capsule at a grand function at Hilton Hotel Sentral, Kuala Lumpur.
The Capsule is a joint initiative of EWRF, MCEF, Astro and Vijayaratnam Foundation.
The Capsules promote various skilled jobs with a focus on skill courses offered by the government for the youths aged between 17 and 30. The duration of these skills training courses may vary from 6 months to 36 months. The students undergoing training will be provided with free meals, lodging and a monthly allowance ranging from RM100 to RM300, depending on the course chosen.
Through the “Skills Training Campaign” Vaanavil is playing a wider and important role in educating the Indian youths to gain self awareness and to be able to choose a career of their choice, notwithstanding their poor academic qualification.
The capsules will be aired by Astro Vaanavil (Astro Channel 201), Astro Vellithirai (Channel 202), Makkal TV (Channel 203) and Sun TV (Channel 211) commencing from 1st August 2009 to 15th October, 2009. |
